Through explaining a past experience with a neighbor in "Suburban", John Ciardi uses annoyed sarcasm, situational irony, and vague personification in order to show how avoiding a tiny argument may prevent future conflict.
I like. Thesis is concise, no fluff. I enjoy your "vague personification" thingymajigger. Hadn't quite spotted it myself, but it works and I like. Perhaps you might consider changing the phrase "In order to..." I find that a lot of people use it and its becoming someone of a cliche; that might just be me, I have no idea. Nothing else to say. Nice work sonny.
The thesis has a strong universal idea, but you may want to spend a little more time trying to pair the devices with adjectives.

ReplyDeleteI like your universal idea. It makes a lot of sense and is very true, even in real life.
